Road Voice Monitoring Systems

|
The
SmarTire Road Voice system provides real-time tire information
from the convenience of your driver's seat. This information
will alert you to a small tire leak before it becomes a big
problem.
Driving
a motorhome is a rewarding and challenging experience. When you're
behind the wheel of a large diesel-powered coach it is nearly
impossible to detect a low or flat tire on your toad. The Road
Voice system gives you peace of mind knowing that your toad's
tires are being monitored. You can relax and enjoy the journey
and not worry about checking your mirrors constantly to see if
there's a problem with your towed vehicle or trailer.
How
It Works:
Wheel mounted transmitters continually monitor the pressure and
temperature in your tires. This information is sent using radio
frequency technology via an antenna located on the rear of the
motorhome to a receiver mounted under the dashboard. A small dash-mounted
display provides the information at the touch of a button. If
a tire problem is detected, the display will immediately flash
and issue an audible alarm. This early warning gives you the opportunity
to repair or change your tire before the situation becomes serious.
Features
of the Road Voice system:
Accurate to +/- 1.5 PSI - more accurate than a tire guage.
7 year battery life of transmitter.
Fully programmable alerts and settings.
Upgradable for a 6-wheel trailer with purchase of an additional
axle kit.
One
year warranty

System
Operation :
The Full Functional Display offers an LCD read-out
of actual tire pressure, contained air temperature,
and status; Pressure status is expressed as a plus
or minus, indicating over or under inflation.
After power is applied the system performs a diagnostic
check. The light will flash, a beep will sound,
and icons will appear. After the check is complete,
the screen will go blank, awaiting signals from
the tires.
Tire icons will then appear on the screen shortly
after moving, signifying that signals have been
received from the tires. The system is now operating
properly, with no alerts.
The Full Function Display has three buttons:
Tire Button: (top right square), toggles
between the tires displayed on the screen.
Mode Button: (middle right square), toggles
between pressure, temperature and status.
Set
Button:
(small bottom button), returns system to stand-by
mode. Used for programming. Push any button to stop
the warning beeper.
The
Full Function Display has three alert settings:
Status Alert: Alerts the driver when the
actual pressure deviates 10 psi, from what the temperature
compensated pressure should be. The light comes
on, the system beeps, and the problem tire is displayed.
Low Pressure Warning: When the tire pressure
drops to the 2nd programmed threshold, the light
flashes, the system emits a continuous beep, and
the problem tire and pressure are displayed.
Temperature Alert: When
the air temperature in a tire reaches the programmed
threshold, the alarm light comes on, the sytem
beeps and the problem tire and temperature is
displayed.
